And so, the dawn of the first day is upon us
Little post here, for you to know the latest advancements in this, my project.
Nothing too difficult have I done yet. I find miself still designing most game mechanics, enemies, and whatsoever. This, however, does not mean that I have made laziness my friend. I have done the cover of the game. Also, I feel relieved that I can tell you that entities movement is done.
Now, this is an interesting part. I, an experienced programmer, have done an abstract "entity" class. Using this method, all my entities can inherit from it, and I have only to write code once! This, as you can see, is a major advantage of abstract classes: the advantage of laziness.
In case you do not hold this knowledge. Programming is - despite what anyone might try to tell you - the laziest of the arts. It basically consist on getting things done using the minimal amount of code possible.
But enough of this nonsense. We are not here to talk about the great art of programming, but to talk about this little project. I plan on finishing tomorrow the player, which should also include Hitboxes and Hurtboxes. These will also be reusable between every class that needs them. In fact, I found a really nice post on the interweb on how to make those on unity. I will leave a link to the post here for your personal enjoyment and learning.
Finally, I find myself on need of wishing you the best of the lucks if you are also participating in this jam. I hope you stay well until our next encounter.
